Israeli Programs

Israeli Affairs Program
Each year the Section sponsors an evening of discussion and fellowship on a topic of current interest about Israel.

Yad B'Yad
NCJW, Incҳ initiative to nurture knowledge is a grant program supporting grassroots organizations serving at-risk children and their families in Israel. Launched in 1998, the Yad Bҙad program funds grants providing multilingual textbooks, computer equipment, and other educational materials to foster positive and innovative learning environments for children and families. The Section supports this project through funds raised in the community.

NCJW Women and Gender Studies Program And Women Studies Forum at Tel Aviv University
Opened in 2001 by NCJW National, the Women and Gender Studies Program at Tel Aviv University became the first bachelor' degree-granting program of its kind in the Middle East. Using an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research, the program stresses the critical analysis of the role of women and other minorities in institutions of all kinds, public and private. The NCJW endowment provides for the degree-granting program and its complement, the NCJW Women Studies Forum, a voluntary group of faculty advancing research and analysis while offering courses, public conferences and community service.
