Advocacy & Public Policy
Advocacy and public policy are NCJWҳ study, education and action arm. Using National Resolutions, the Section acts on significant issues facing the community, nation and world. Throughout the year, South Cook sponsors speaker forums and issue updates to educate members on issues that affect women, families and children and those that are necessary to ensure the civil rights and quality of life for all.

Judith Byer Mostovoy Program Funds
Judith Byer Mostovoy Program Funds are raised to honor the memory of Judith Byer Mostovoy, a longtime member and former president of the South Cook Section. The proceeds, including special tributes, support legal aid and educational programs to bring more public awareness of critical issues for women, children and families in the south suburbs of Chicago.

Public Policy
SPA (State Public Affairs) The Section is kept up to date on state public affairs issues by several members who meet with other Illinois NCJW Section members who are provided information on issues of concern that are brought forth in the local and state legislative bodies.
